Phoebe in Tennessee

Phoebe is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. If you wish to receive the notification, please sign up for our mailing list at the top of the front page of our website. Adoption fees are set at the time a dog goes available and applications can only be submitted at that time. Please follow our website and social media pages for updates on Phoebe!

Meet our new girl Phoebe! She is a 10-year-old sweetie who came to FBV with a rectal prolapse. Her owners surrendered her when they moved and could not take her with them. They also were no longer able to handle her medical issues.

Phoebe has had numerous surgeries to repair her rectal prolapse and so far since her third surgery, she has had solid stools with no blood! Also, while in our care, she has been spayed and had a mammary tumor removed which came back benign. She has KCS (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) or dry eye and is given cyclosporine twice a day. Her eyes have improved a great deal with the drops.

She is doing amazing so far in her foster home. She adores people, toys and of course treats. She does well in her crate and with bath time. She is working on house training. Phoebe also loves walks and car rides, but most of all, she loves to be with people and to try to figure out where the cats are in the house.

Phoebe will make someone a great companion when she is ready for adoption. Please keep an eye out for updates on this sassy little gal!

We greatly appreciate any and all donations! $500 will help us provide Phoebe with some basic essentials, such as food, bowls, and a leash, as well as help us cover some of her vet bills.
